Professor Lloyd Goldsamt of New York University is A Visiting Professor at Central South University

On the afternoon of March 21, 2019, visiting Professor Lloyd A Goldsamt, senior research fellow of Rory Meyers School of Nursing, New York University, was invited to be visiting professor of Xiangya School of Nursing, Central South University at the 637 Conference room. The leaders of all the schools and related functional departments of Xiangya Nursing School of Central South University, the nursing department and clinical faculty representatives of Xiangya Hospital, The second Xiangya Hospital and the third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University attended the visiting professor appointment ceremony. Vice President Li Xianhong presided over the ceremony.

Professor Lloyd A Goldsamt conducts an Engaging Male sex Workers in Sexual Healthcare for the students and students of the nursing school. The academic lecture on scholarly research findings from a sexual health promotion intervention in Vietnam "provides thesis and topic guidance for masters and doctoral students in nursing schools, and has close academic exchanges and research cooperation with Professor Wang Honghong and Professor Li Xianhong.


About Professor Lloyd A Goldsamt:



Dr. Lloyd A Goldsamt is A senior research fellow at the New York University School of Nursing and an associate professor at the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development at New York University. For the past 20 years, research and community-based assessments have been conducted primarily through national Institutes of Health (NIH) funding. His main area of research is the prevention of AIDS and sexually transmitted infections among high-risk youth groups. Dr. Lloyd A Goldsamt is currently the lead researcher in an NIDA/PEPFAR funded study that focused on A sexual health promotion intervention for young male sex workers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He has conducted training and project evaluations both locally and nationally, particularly in drug courts and community organizations for HIV/AIDS prevention and drug abuse prevention. Currently serves as a judge for the Brooklyn Medical Court and a judge for the Office of Juvenile Justice and Crime Prevention program, which develops learning partners for the national Juvenile drug Court. Goldsamt is also a faculty member at fordham University's Ethics Training School for AIDS and Drug Abuse Prevention Research and a licensed clinical psychologist in New York State. Dr. Lloyd A Goldsamt enjoys A high reputation and influence in public health research such as HIV/AIDS.
