On the afternoon of May 22, Xiangya Nursing School of Central South University held an online video conference with the School of Nursing of Turku University to discuss exchange and cooperation issues.

Mr. Li Tao, Party Secretary, delivered a speech on behalf of Xiangya Nursing School and extended his sincere greetings to all the teachers and students of the School of Nursing of Turku University. He said, Xiangya Nursing School of Central South University is one of the earliest and also the best nursing schools in China. It ranks top 100 according to the Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, while Turku University Nursing ranks the top 100 in QS. There is a sound development foundation for nursing exchanges between the two universities. It is hoped that the two sides can reach a preliminary consensus and cooperation intention in scientific research, education and teaching, and personnel training through network video exchange, and establish a deep and extensive contact mechanism in the process of deepening communication and cooperation.

Anna axelin from the school of nursing of the University of Turku introduced to the participants the historical evolution, development status, education, teaching, scientific research and personnel training of the University of Turku, while Riitta Suhonen shared the scientific research, academic pursuit and output of the Nursing School of the University of Turku.

The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges, focusing on the joint training of doctoral students, scientific research cooperation in key fields, and related education and training projects, and carried out experience sharing and problem discussion, thus enhancing mutual understanding. Finally, the two sides had a preliminary discussion on the next communication meeting and the theme of the meeting.
