On the afternoon of October 19th, our school held an online video conference with the School of Nursing of Turku University in Finland.
This video exchange was the second video conference after May 22. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on the mode of international study visit, mutual visits between teachers and students, joint training of highly educated nursing talents, and the holding of summer school. Anna Axelin and Iina Ryhtä Shared three online courses offered by their school, namely, the development of clinical health assessment tools, advanced nursing education courses and the improvement of patients' health education ability. The three online courses will be open to the teachers and students of our school for free. Li Xianhong introduced the related situation of nursing education, nursing research and mutual visits between teachers and students between Xiangya School of Nursing and international famous universities in recent years, and looked forward to further exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the future.
Finally, the two sides reached preliminary opinions on the joint training of doctoral students, the preparation of summer schools, and the short-term visit of graduate students, and drafted memoranda focusing on the joint training of doctoral students, scientific research cooperation in key fields, and related education and training projects.
Since Professor Maritta Välimäki formally joined our hospital, our school and the School of Nursing of Turku University have maintained close and friendly contacts and cooperation. The “Evidence-Based Leadership in Nursing” jointly declared by the two schools was successfully approved by the Finnish government in October this year, and Li Xianhong became the person in charge of this project. The project is based on the development and application of evidence-based leadership in the nursing process, opening a new stage for further scientific research cooperation between the two parties.
