On the morning of January 25, 2019, Xiangya Nursing School of Central South University held a visiting professor awarding ceremony, and invited Professor Maritol Avalimaki of Hong Kong Polytechnic University to be visiting professor of Central South University. Bai Yi, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Central South University, leaders of of Xiangya Nursing School, and relevant people in charge of functional departments of Xiangya Nursing School attended the ceremony. Deputy Dean Li Xianhong hosted the ceremony.

About Professor Maritta Valimaki:

Maritta Valimaki is Deputy Dean and Chair of the Research Committee at Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Nursing, Visiting Professor at George School of Health and Social Care, University of London, United Kingdom, and honorary Lecturer at University of Tampere. He has undertaken nearly 50 projects, including nearly 20 major projects. Currently, his research projects are mainly devoted to mental health education and research development in Asia. He has published nearly 200 academic papers and delivered keynote reports at international academic conferences for about 20 times. Professor Maritta Valimaki has a deep track record in education and scientific research.
