The 16th National Diabetes Care Academic Exchange Conference of The Chinese Nursing Association, sponsored by the Chinese Nursing Association, co-organized by Hunan Nursing Association and undertaken by Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, was held in Changsha from October 10 to 12, 2019. With the theme of "Innovation, Sharing and Development", the conference attracted nearly 1,000 nursing colleagues from 34 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.

In the academic exchange meeting, our 2018 graduate students Zhao Nan and Jiang Feng respectively delivered speeches of Development and Verification of Diabetic Foot Intelligent APP Based on Deep Learning and Analysis of Anxiety and Depression of Nurses after Insulin Injection. The two papers of 2017 graduate student Liang Hejing and 2018 graduate student Zhao Meicun, which were A Survey of Cognition and Behavior of the Management of Insulin Injection Needle Injury in Nursing Managers and Investigation of Insulin Injection Related Needle Injuries Among Clinical Nurses in Chinese Mainland, were chosen to display for the wall newspaper.

Students with excellent performance expressed their gratitude to Professor Zhou Qiuhong and Professor Jin Jin, leaders and tutors of Xiangya Nursing School, for their care and guidance. The meeting communication not only let them learn more cutting-edge diabetes nursing knowledge, understand the trend of the development of diabetes nurses, but also encouraged the students to continue to study in the field of scientific research in diabetes care, and to study hard for future study, strive for further breakthrough in the profession.
