On the morning of October 18, 2019, Yale-China Association President David Youtz, Yale-China Association Board Chairman Ping Liang, Yale School of Nursing Dean Ann Kurth, Yale School of Public Health Associate Professor Mayur Desai and 12 other people visited our school. Party Secretary of our school Li Tao, Director of the Professor Committee Wang Honghong, Deputy Deans Li Xianhong, Chen Jia and Li Lejia, Director of the Foreign Exchange and Cooperation Center Guo Jia, Associate Professor Zhou Wenjuan, Associate Director of Discipline Research Office Liu Zina, Superintendent Nurses Zhang Xiaoqiong and Wang Qingxia from Xiangya Hospital, Leading Nurses in Xiangya 2nd Hospital Qiu Cailiang and Zhang Xiao attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Li Xianhong.

This is the first time for Ann Kurth to visit Xiangya Nursing School of Central South University. She spoke highly of the long history and educational level of Xiangya Nursing School, and elaborated on the possibility of joint training of professional degrees and doctorates from both sides

The two sides discussed the importance of aging, chronic diseases and nursing. It is expected that the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in nursing, medicine and public health, establish a global research center and realize a strong alliance.

Li Xianhong organized a broad and in-depth group discussion on the establishment of the Global Research Center. Participants from different sides gave many suggestions and reached a lot of consensus.
