At 8 a.m. on March 21, 2020, the International Class for master’s degree students in Nursing, jointly held by Central South University and University of California, San Francisco (“International Class”), launched an online English corner course. Professor James Wiley from University of California, San Francisco gave us a wonderful online English exchange course through the Internet.

Affected by the COVID-19, students cannot return to campus, but international class students have already started the process of online learning. Since March 9th, Professor JyuLin Chen of the University of California, San Diego, has started an online Evidence-based nursing course for 2019 international students. This English corner was the first online English corner for international students and 17 students took part in this course. Students had active discussions on the topic of COVID-19 raised by Professor James Wiley.

The content of this English corner course is related to the hot issues that everyone is concerned about, and in-depth exchanges were carried out. Through the exchange, students have a deeper and more understanding of the COVID-19.
