Research area #1: Research on Whole Person Care System
Relying on the Tumor Prevention and Treatment Platform and technical advantages of Regional Cancer Prevention and Control Center, Cancer Medical Center of Hunan province, as well as the guidance of six nursing professional committees, a tumor multidisciplinary management team characterized by whole-person-and-whole-process has been established.
The team aims to integrate and transform evidence-based evidence, explore the common problems of patients in physical, psychological, social, and spiritual, as well as corresponding strategies and coping mechanisms.
So as to provide scientific and technological support for the construction of a whole-person-care system for tumor patients, we devote to develop technologies and products of whole-person care, innovate clinical theories and technologies, carry out international cooperation, and promote the in-depth hospice care education system into universities.
Research area #2: Research on multidimensional rehabilitation system
We are planning to establish a multidimensional rehabilitation system from following aspects. For the first, innovate the method of tumor rehabilitation. Relying on the industrial and innovation base of Hunan Nursing Society and combine with cross-integrate multiple disciplines, VR virtual reality technology and AI artificial intelligence are put to full use.
The second is to establish warning model for tumor rehabilitation. Multi-dimensional rehabilitation warning model suitable for the characteristics of Chinese population, such as vascular channels, stomatoma wounds, tumor chemotherapy, nutritional risk, psychological pain, etc are plan to be established.
The third is to develop and apply the continuation nursing system for cancer patients, which consist the termination of patients, the hospital and the community. The fourth is to set up online nursing-specialized consultation. Internet platform for vascular channels, stoma wounds, hospice care and other specialized nursing consultation modules will gradually be developed.
Research area #3: Research on end-of-life care system
As the chairman unit of hospice care of Chinese Nursing Association and the base of appropriate technology promotion of hospice care in Hunan Province, we have taken the lead in carrying out specialist nurse training on hospice care, and established “5-complete” service system based on Hospital-Community-Home (HCH).
The systems of hospice care in quality evaluation, medical insurance and drug security are also be constructed to promote and realize the scientific, professional and standardized development of hospice care services in China. Meanwhile, We have carried out a series of death education including Do-Not-Resuscitation signature, advance directives, "My Five Wishes" to popularize the consciousness of “Optimal death” among the public.
