With the support from provincial social scientific publicity and education base, we conducted a series of disease screening and prevention scientific publicity and education among the vulnerable women in rural settings. Also, regarding this research area, we have conducted studies concerning the life quality and legal rights enhancement of wives of men who have sex with men, the reproductive health status of the floating population of women at childbearing age, and mental health among infertile and perinatal women; abovementioned researches results provided clues for policies making at the level of expertise, city hall, and province.

We aim to understand and explore the role of nurses at primary health care settings, such as coping with public health diseases, promoting health literacy of citizens at rural settings, etc.. Specifically, we explored the working models of the advanced nurses at primary health care settings, how to train graduate students in the field of public health nursing, and the management and evaluation of the Internet plus nursing care services.
In terms of the health literacy among citizens in the rural settings, we surveyed the association between chronic diseases health literacy and resources utilization for health education, explored how to improve health literacy based on chronic disease comprehensive management model and health belief model, and established and evaluated the intervention strategy to enhance health literacy of chronic disease prevention with the integration of new media technologies.
