Ping Mao is a professor of Third Xiangya Hospital, Central South University (CSU). She has been a registered nurse since 1994, associate director of Nursing Department of Third Xiangya Hospital, Central South University (CSU) since 2010 and director of Nursing Teaching-Research Section since 2016. She has her expertise in nursing management, practice development and teaching. She is a member of International Family Nursing Association (IFNA), Surgical Committee of Chinese Nursing Association. She is also a vice chairman of Kidney Transplantation Care Committee, China Healthcare International Exchange Promotion Association, chairman of Organ Transplantation Professional Committee of Hunan Nursing Association, vice chairman of Consultation Committee of Hunan Nursing Association. Dr Mao is certified by the International Association of Nursing (ICN) as a Lecturer in Leadership for Change Program. She has published more than 20 academic papers and spoken at 4 international academic conferences at home and abroad. She has been engaged in research on women's health, psychosocial care for children and adolescents and has been committed to improving their mental health and quality of life. She has supervised 4 research projects funded by domestic funds. She has also close research collaborations with University of California, San Francisco and Washington University.
