Prof. Ding is a Professor of Nursing at The Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, Director of Clinical Nursing Safety Management Research Center. She is the graduate student supervisor of Xiangya Nursing School of Central South University and has cultivated a total of 40 graduate students so far. In her career, she has been engaged in cardiovascular nursing and health education and has published over 80 academic papers. Prof. Ding was selected as the first group of experts in the National Health Science Database. She was awarded “National Excellent Nursing Department Director” and “Outstanding Nursing Worker” by China Nursing Association. Prof Ding is the vice president of Nursing Association of Hunan Province, chairman of Popular Science Working Committee, chairman of Cardiovascular Nursing Professional Committee, and Deputy director of nursing Management Professional Committee of Hunan Hospital Association. She also serves on the editorial board of Chinese Journal of Nursing, Journal of Nursing and Shanghai Nursing.
