BIO


Jinnan Xiao is a lecturer of Xiangya School of Nursing at Central South University. Dr. Xiao has long been engaged in research on cancer and palliative care, including symptom management, psychosocial care, advance care planning, shared decision-making and cancer screening. She has developed and tested the effects of psycho-education, family-oriented dignity therapy and other psychosocial intervention programs for oncology patients and their family member in Chinese communities. Dr. Xiao has published over 10 academic papers and spoken at more than 5 academic conferences at home and abroad. She has been a reviewer for more than three scientific journals. She is a member of Hunan Nursing Association, Y. K. Pao Foundation Center for Nursing Excellence in Chronic Illness Care (CIC). She has close research collaborations with The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
