Liyun Zeng has been a specialized nurse since 1987 in the field of cardiothoracic surgery at the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. After her 10-year-long nursing career in cardiothoracic surgery, she has been engaged in outpatient services and served as head nurse in well-known specialist clinic up until Sept. of 2006. Then she has her almost 14 years in managing overall nursing work of Outpatient and Emergency Department. Prof. Zeng is committed to training Hunan Emergency specialist nurses, Changsha Red Cross ambulance nurses and leading clinical nursing of the hospital. She is also a member of Disaster Nursing Committee under Chinese Nursing Association, Professional Committee on Philanthropy and Ethics under Chinese Medical Information and big data Association, and the vice-chairwoman of Hunan Alliance for Nursing Education, Health Management Committee under Hunan Health Management Society. Meanwhile, Prof. Zeng leads a research program from Hunan Development and Reform Commission on exploring outpatient and emergency active service mode, a research paper on design and development of nursing information software, and evolves a project on research and application demonstration of active medical service model supported by Ministry of Science and Technology. She has published 12 journal articles as first author or correspondence author and 6 books as a chief editor or co-editor, which covers nursing training, forward research and general work manual.
