Yao Wang is an Associate Professor of Xiangya School of Nursing at Central South University. Dr. Wang has a research interest in the areas of caregiver support in dementia care, dementia education for health professionals and caregivers, nursing care of people with Alzheimer’s disease and chronical disease management. She has an established track record in health care for older people and people with dementia. Methodologies she has applied to research projects include qualitative studies and quantitative studies. Dr. Wang has published 20 academic papers and spoken at more than 5 academic conferences at home and abroad. She has supervised 7 research projects funded by funds at home and abroad, and has been a reviewer for more than 5 scientific journals as a reviewer. Dr. Wang has a teaching interest in community nursing, gerontological nursing, evidence-based nursing, midwifery and Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing. She is a member of Chinese Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics, Nursing association of Hunan Province and Evidence-based Nursing Professional Committee of Hunan Province. She has close research collaborations with University of Toronto, and Flinders University.
