Guo Jia, RN, PhD., Associate professor, Master tutor ,Young Talents of Hunan Province, China. Director of International cooperation and exchanges center of Xiangya School of Nursing, Central South University. Dr. Guo's research focuses on the prevention and management of chronic diseases、evidence-based nursing practice. She received doctoral program training at Yale University, then postdoctoral research training at University of California, San Francisco. She has been working as the principal investigator of many international and national grants, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Medical Board Open Competition grant of the US, and the UCSF seed grants. As the independent first author or corresponding author, she has published 34 peer-reviewed papers, including 24 papers cited in Science Citation Index (SCI). As the first author, she has granted 5 patents utility model and 1 Australian innovation patent license.
Dr. Guo is currently chairman of the Committee of Members of the International Family Nursing Association, vice chairman of the Nursing Professional Committee of the China Type 1 Diabetes Alliance, vice chairman of the Evidence-based Nursing Branch of the Hunan Medical Science and Technology Education Society, vice chairman of the Diabetes Education and Management Professional Committee of the Hunan Health Management Society, deputy head of the Youth Section of the Diabetes Branch of the Hunan Nursing Society, member of the Cardiovascular Professional Committee of the Ninth Council of the Hunan Nursing Society, teaching expert of Hunan Provincial specialist nurse training, teaching expert of Hunan diabetes educator training and type 1 diabetes educator, Review expert of the British Diabetes Foundation Research Fund, editorial board of the Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing, SCI include journal Journal of Clinical Nursing and Journal of Advanced Nursing review experts.
Has been engaged in maternal and child population chronic disease prevention and control policy research.
