Xiu-Hua Wang is a professor, supervisor of postgraduate, director of the department of community care of Xiangya nursing school of Central South University. And she is member of the teaching material construction steering committee of the 13th five-year plan for nursing majors in general medical colleges and universities in China. She has long been engaged in research on health promotion projects for the elderly and is committed to developing innovative care programs, reducing disability and improving quality of life for the elderly in China. She has rich experience in scientific research and has published more than 60 academic papers and presided over 10 provincial research projects. She has close research collaborations with three affiliated hospitals of Central South University. Professor Wang is a member of Hunan health society, cardiovascular professional committee of Hunan nursing association. She also has taught undergraduate and graduate students for many years, giving lectures on "Health Assessment", "Medical Nursing", and participating in the theoretical and practical teaching of "Community Nursing", "Geriatric Nursing", "Advanced Clinical Nursing" and other courses. Among them, the course "Health Assessment" has been rated as the excellent model class of Central South University, and the course "Medical Nursing" has been rated as the national excellent online course. She has edited and participated in the compilation of more than 10 teaching materials for undergraduates such as “Health Assessment”, “Medical Nursing” and “Geriatric Nursing”, and has been awarded as an excellent teacher of Central South University for many times.
