BIO


Siyuan Tang (born Apr. 1966) is a Chinese college administrator and the present dean of Xiangya School of Nursing in CSU (Central South University). Tang is also a doctor of Philosophy in Medicine, post-doctor of Clinical Medicine, Second-grade professor, Ph.D. and post-doctorate supervisor, America visiting scholar, Changsha Gov. supervisor. Tang devoted himself to various health associations. For more information see below: director of Chinese Association for Physiological Sciences, vice president of Nursing Rescue chapter of China Association for Disaster & Emergency Rescue Medicine, committee member of the 26th CNA(Chinese Nursing Association) council, director of Hunan Nursing Education Association, vice president of Hunan Health Management Association, member of Nursing Management Chapter of Hunan Hospital Association(HHA), vice director of Clinical care management chapter of HHA, vice director of psychological rehabilitation management chapter of HHA. Tang is also active in book publication, he is now a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Nursing Sciences, Journal of Chinese Modern Nursing. He is also a stringer of Discovery, chief editor of *Physiology (the 2th, 3th edition), chief editor of National Higher Education Self-study Examinations: Nursing Major Textbooks (Student Helping Project series). Editorial Committee member of the 4th Chinese Nursing Education published by CNA, Experts Steering Committee member of National nursing major exam reference book. Tang has been doing research on Prevention of chronic diseases in community for years, and has published more than 150 academic research papers in core journals at home and abroad, 25 of them have been included in foreign SCI journals, 5 of them have been included in foreign EI journals. Tang holds 5 National utility model patents, presided over the completion of 2 National Natural Science Fund project, 1 Doctoral Scientific Fund Project of the Ministry of Education of China, 1 China Postdoctoral Fund Project, 1 Natural Science Fund Project of Hunan Province,16 Research Projects. And he won the second prize of Natural Science Award of Hunan Province one time, the third prize of Hunan medical science and Technology Award 2 times, the first prize of “Excellent academic paper” held by Hunan Physiological Science Association 2 times. Meanwhile, Tang is also one of the best teachers in CSU, he won the first prize of Teaching Achievement in CSU once. His course, Community Nursing, Management and nursing care of patients with chronic diseases in the community, are selected as National-level Excellent Course, and have been streamed online as all nation’s role model. Students he trained are as splendid as he is, among them, there are 2 post-doctorate (one of them has finished), 13 Ph.Ds.(6 of them have graduated), 38 Master graduate students(30 of them have graduated).
