At 12 pm on December 25, 2018, host by the Student Work Department of Central South University and the Xiangya School of Nursing of Central South University and organized by the Nursing Branch of the Association of Young Scientists and Technicians of Central South University and the Graduate Association of Xiangya School of Nursing, a lecture series on "To be A Happy Caregiver" was successfully launched in Class 457, Xiaoqian Building, Xiangya New Campus.

The lecturer was Professor Zhong Zhuqing, vice director of the Nursing Department of the Third Xiangya Hospital. Right from the start, she introduced the history of the Third Xiangya Hospital, which in keeping up with the times developed its own “3H” nursing culture. It has two layers of meaning, referring to the Third Xiangya Hospital and its nurses and heart, honesty and home(home of patients and nurses).

After that, Professor Zhong Zhuqing briefed on his experience of applying for the National Natural Science Foundation of China. She pointed out that research topics could arise from the analysis of national policy and the catering to people's health care needs. According to Professor Zhong Zhuqing , applying for National Natural Science Foundation of China is like a battle, for which we must be prepared all the time.

Moving to the next part of the lecture, Professor Zhong Zhuqing focused on how to be a happy caregiver . Taking her own experiences as an example, she highlighted the following three points. First, keep your feet down on the ground and nerve cease the journey of constant learning. Second, discover the meaning and values behind the nursing experiences despite all the hardship they involved, for any experience possess its own meaning, which may seem obscure at that time but could benefit your work and life in the future. Last but not least, she had a few words for her students: Believing before seeing. Only when you believe in your capacity to be a happy caregiver can you see a brighter future lying ahead for nurses.

At the conclusion of the lecture, Associate Dean Li Xianhong expressed his sincere gratitude to Professor Zhong Zhuqing, encouraging the students to learn from his positive attitudes towards life and work and to innovate and develop nursing through lifelong learning. The lecture ended up with warm applause.
