The Fourth Scientific Research Training of Xiangya-UCLA AIDS Related Behavioral Research was Completed Successfully

The Fourth Scientific Research Training of Xiangya-UCLA AIDS Related Behavioral Research lasted for three days and ended successfully on April 12, 2015. The participants in this training were mainly Xiangya-UCLA students and some graduate students of our school.



This training started on April 10. On the same day, Professor Ann Williams and Dr Lynn Bretch from UCLA respectively gave lectures on HIV evidence-based research and data management. Li Xianhong, deputy dean of Xiangya Nursing School, gave lectures on systematic evaluation cases of HIV medication compliance and AIDS behavior intervention. The next day, Zhang Ling, associate professor of Capital Medical University, outlined the design methods of evidence-based medicine, system evaluation and epidemiology, and introduced the production process of system evaluation and meta-analysis and the writing of scientific research plan. On April 12, Professor Wu Song from Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine mainly shared the application of RevMan software and Stata software in meta-analysis and demonstrated the operation on the computer. The trainees were very active.



The trainees generally commented that the training was very good. The training content of each expert was novel and practical, and the teaching was humorous. The training of Xiangya-UCLA laid a foundation for evidence-based practice research of teachers and students in our school.
