Delegation from Xiangya Nursing School of Central South University Attended the 6th Pan-Pacific Nursing Conference in Hong Kong

From March 2 to March 4, 2016, the dean Professor Tang Siyuan, Associate Professor Feng Hui, Associate Professor Gu Can, teacher Sun Mei and seven graduate students of Xiangya Nursing School at Central South University attended the Sixth Pan-Pacific Nursing Conference and First Colloquium on Chronic Illness Care in Hong Kong. This conference is sponsored by Nethersole Nursing School of Chinese University of Hong Kong. A total of more than 500 scholars from over 20 countries attended this conference.


With the theme of promoting innovation and sustainable development of medical care and community care, the conference aims to provide an international academic exchange platform for medical care and community care service providers, policy makers, scholars and researchers to jointly explore and formulate strategies to promote innovation and sustainable development of local and global medical care and community care services method.


At this conference, the delegation of Xiangya Nursing School reported three studies, including "Developing chronic disease management capacity in community health centers in Hunan Province, China " by Associate Professor Feng Hui, " Understanding Chinese women’s cervical screening behavior: The role of institution and health care practitioner system " by Associate Professor Gu can and " Research status and progress of comprehensive geriatric assessment " by Yang Chen, a graduate student. Sun Mei and seven graduate students presented posters. At the same time, Yang Chen won the "Best Student Poster Award" at the conference.




At the 6th Pan-Pacific Nursing Conference, the delegation from Xiangya Nursing School of Central South University participated in the conference, which laid a good foundation for further developing the reputation of Xiangya Nursing School of Central South University in foreign academic fields, scientific research cooperation and academic exchange between Xiangya Nursing School and scholars in Hong Kong and around the world.
