On May 25, 2016, Professor Frances Marcus Lewis of The University of Washington, Professor Lin Meifeng of Taiwan Cheng Kung University and Professor Liu Jun-e of Capital Medical University visited our school for talent training and academic exchange with experts and young teachers in related fields. Our dean Professor Tang Siyuan gave a welcome speech on behalf of the school and introduced Xiangya Nursing School briefly. Also attending the meeting were deputy deans Professor Wang Honghong and Professor Li Xianhong, and young lecturer Sun Mei.

It is worth mentioning that Liu Minhui, a graduate student of our school, is currently studying for a doctorate in the Nursing School of The University of Washington. Professor Lewis highly praised and affirmed his academic ability. Professor Tang Siyuan expressed his gratitude to The University of Washington for training students of our school.

After the welcoming ceremony, Professor Lewis held an academic lecture named "Evidence-Based Intervention Design" for the students of our school. The lecture was hosted by deputy dean Wang Honghong, and more than 60 students including 23 foreign graduate students listened to the lecture. Professor Lewis' lecture was highly praised by the present teachers and students.
