Public Health Officials from French-Speaking African Countries Visited Xiangya Nursing School

On August 25, 43 public health officials from French-speaking African countries visited our school. Hayu, international business official of The Ministry of Commerce and director of the Foreign Aid Training Executive Coordination Office of the Institute, accompanied them. Bai Yi, director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Secretary Luo Junfei of Xiangya Nursing School, dean Tang Siyuan and other officials attended the reception.

It is reported that since 2012, Xiangya Nursing School has undertaken foreign aid training programs of Ministry of Commerce for many times, such as "Training Class of Maternal Care and Health Care Technology in Developing Countries", and "Master Program of Advanced Nursing and Medical Technology in Developing Countries", the first foreign aid academic education program of Ministry of Commerce in Hunan Province in 2015. During the visit, the group went to Xiangya Nursing School for discussion and exchange. Dean Tang Siyuan introduced the school and the foreign aid training program, and welcomed more students from developing countries to study and exchange.


Public health officials visiting are from 13 countries like Benin, Burundi, Cameroon, Comoros, Congo, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Niger and Senegal. They came to attend the 2016 Francophone Africa Public Health Training Course hosted by the China’s Ministry of Commerce. China's Ministry of Commerce has launched a series of foreign aid training programs to train a large number of professionals for developing countries to help their economic and social development.
