On June 15-18, 2017, sponsored by Chinese Nursing Association and Chinese Nursing Magazine, and co-organized by Qinghai Nursing Association, National Symposium on New Advances in Hospital Infection Nursing and National Conference on Infection Nursing were held in Xining, Qinghai.

With the theme of "professionalism, quality, innovation and development", the conference specially invited well-known experts in the infection departments of hospitals to summarize and exchange new theories, new methods, new achievements and new information of nursing. Zhao Shengxiu, president of Qinghai Nursing Association, delivered the opening speech. Huang Yeli, deputy secretary general of Chinese Nursing Association, gave a special report on "Cooperation, Innovation and Development" and shared her experience of leading more than 300 Chinese delegations to attend the 2017 Barcelona International Nurses Conference. Gao Xiaodong, director of Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, Jiang Rongmeng, director of Beijing Ditan Hospital, and Professor Zhong Xiuling, distinguished expert of China Coal General Hospital, respectively gave lectures on needle stick injury and occupational safety, the identification, prevention and control of traveler-related infectious diseases, and the outbreak of nosocomial infection. They built a high-level exchange platform for the majority of nursing colleagues.

Li Yunxia, a 2016 graduate student of our school, delivered a speech on the progress of Research on the Harm of Hospital Noise to Nursing Staff. According to Li Yunxia, research shows that hospital noise exceeds the standard, which not only affects patients' recuperation, but also causes serious harm to nursing staff, such as insomnia, irritability and even increase the chance of abortion. At present, foreign experts have done a lot of research on this and have incorporated noise management into the hospital management system, but this kind of harm has not attracted enough attention in China. Therefore, Li Yunxia appealed to nurses to recognize the harm of noise and suggested that hospital administrators should bring noise management into the hospital management system.
