On June 27, JAMA (2017 Annual Impact Factor 44.405), one of the four world famous medical journals, published a review paper titled "Maternal Obesity and Cerebral Palsy in Offspring" by Professor Li Yamin, master tutor of our school and deputy director of Clinical Nursing Department of Xiangya Second Hospital.

This review aims at Dr. Eduardo Villamor's paper "Association Between Maternal Body Mass Index in Early Pregnancy and Incidence of Cerebral Palsy" published in JAMA and expounds different academic views on research methodology based on his research experience in that field.

Professor Li Yaming is the first postdoctoral student of nursing in Xiangya Nursing School. Since he left the station as a postdoctoral fellow in 2015, he has made remarkable achievements and published articles in internationally renowned journals one after another. He has published 9 SCI papers since 2015. Out of them, in May 2017, he published an article entitled " Risk of Developing Type 2 Diabetes in Adolescents and Young Adults With Autism Spectrum Disorders: A Nationwide Longitudinal Study" in the world's top magazine Diabetes Care (ranked fifth in the field of endocrinology and its Impact Factor in 2017 is 11.8). In August 2016, Gestational Exposure to Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors and Offspring Psychiatric Disorders: Need for Further Investigation, published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (2016 Impact Factor 7.12). In September 2015, he published the title Association Between Maternal Obesity and Autism Spectrum Disorder in Offspring: A Meta-Analysis in Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders (SSCI&SCI Journal, 2015 Impact Factor 3.66). The paper has been cited for 17 times so far and was highly recognized by Fred R. Volkmar, editor-in-chief of the magazine and a famous expert on autism. On June 20, 2017, Fred R. Volkmar invited Professor Li Yamin to participate in the editing of Encyclopedia of Autism Spectrum Disorders (2nd Edition) to write the chapters of "Maternal Obesity and ASD Risk".

This is another good news after our nursing school became a world-class discipline.
