Professor Robin Whittemore, director of the Doctoral Research Program at Yale University School of Nursing, funded by the Program of "High-level Foreign Experts in Education, Science, Culture and Health" of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, came to our nursing school for a short-term job from October 20 to October 27, 2017. This is the second time that Professor Whittemore has come to our school for a short term work this year after May. Professor Whittemore has a tight schedule for this visit. In just seven days, he gave three high-quality academic lectures for teachers and students of our school, conducted one-to-one consultation for doctoral students, and guided the development of some scientific research projects of our school.

Professor Whittemore's visit to the school reflects the consistent recognition and support of international teachers for the development our postgraduate education and nursing. It is of great significance to improve the academic level of postgraduates and young researchers and to promote the exchange and integration of nursing professional knowledge at home and abroad. At the same time, he also brought new understanding and new methods of nursing scientific research to the teachers and students of our school, and opened up a new horizon for the understanding of nursing scientific research.
