A Delegation from the University of Dundee Came to Our School to Discuss a Sino-Foreign Undergraduate Nursing Education Program

On October 26, 2017, Professor MargaretSmith, dean of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences, University of Dundee, Professor Elaine Lee, deputy dean for international communication, and John Lee, director of the undergraduate teaching office visited our school.

In the morning, accompanied by Associate Professor Guo Jia from our Global Affairs Office, the delegation of The University of Dundee visited the new Xiangya campus of Central South University.


Subsequently, the delegation came to the medical anatomy building visit. The delegation of the University of Dundee recognized the quality of teaching in the basic Medical school, as well as the students' ability to speak English and think well.


After the visit to Xiangya Campus, at around 10 o 'clock, the meeting of " Discussion of Xiangya Nursing School and The University of Dundee to Hold the Sino-Foreign Undergraduate Nursing Education Program" was held in the conference room 637 of Xiangya Nursing School.

The meeting was hosted by deputy dean Professor Wang Honghong. Participants from both sides had an in-depth discussion on the undergraduate curriculum and teaching plan of the two universities.

The two sides decided to draw on each other's strengths and characteristics to jointly create a new undergraduate nursing curriculum with the goal of cultivating community nursing leaders in China.

At the end of the meeting, the deans of the two sides exchanged souvenirs and took a group photo.
