Tian Hongping, director of the International Communication Office of Rory Meyers School of Nursing, visited our school at 2:00 PM on April 17, 2018. Party secretary Li Tao, deputy dean Li Xianhong, Professor Zeng Hui, Professor Yang Min, Associate Professor Gu Can, Associate Professor Guo Jia, teacher Wang Yao and teacher Wang Jing attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, director Tian, as an old friend of Xiangya Nursing School, first introduced Rory Meyers Nursing School of New York University. She expressed her intention to establish cooperation and help with our school through this visit, especially in the direction of elderly health and nursing. Afterwards, secretary Li Tao expressed welcome and gratitude to director Tian for coming from afar, and introduced Xiangya Nursing School's development history, student training, teacher structure, scientific research, international exchange and other aspects. The participants briefly introduced their research fields and recent achievements.

During the meeting, the two sides had in-depth discussions on scientific research cooperation, personnel training and international exchanges. Director Tian praised the achievements in the construction of our school's nursing discipline. In combination with the national "One Belt and One Road" policy, secretary Li Tao has made great efforts to develop the "double first-class" construction. It is hoped that under the favorable cooperation background, cooperation can be carried out through scientific research cooperation, personnel training, teachers' visits, aid projects in Africa and other aspects.
