The 2018 ARWU Ranking has been officially released, with Central South University becoming the only nursing university in China to be listed for two consecutive years.

More than 1,600 universities from 83 countries and regions appear in the rankings. A total of 202 universities from the Chinese mainland have been on the list 1,700 times, second only to the US. Compared with last year, the number of Chinese universities on the list increased by 25% and the total number by 32%, both significant improvements.

The university has 28 subjects on the list, seven more than in 2017, and ranks 13th among mainland universities, up from 17th in 2017.

In 2018 ARWU World First-Class Discipline Ranking, the medical field includes clinical medicine, public health, stomatology, nursing, medical technology and pharmacy. A total of 51 universities from the Chinese mainland have been on the list for 121 times.

In the field of medicine, in the field of nursing, Central South University has been included in the list for two years in a row and continues to rank 76-100 in the world.
