On the afternoon of September 10, 2018, the opening ceremony of nursing postgraduate education program jointly held by Central South University and University of California, San Francisco was held in conference room 714, Xiaoqian Building. Party Committee Secretary Li Tao, Dean Tang Siyuan, Deputy Dean Wang Honghong, Director Xiao Jianglong, Associate Professor Guo Jia, Teacher Liu Zina, Professor Jyu-Lin Chen from the Nursing School of University of California, San Francisco, and 27 freshmen of the international nursing Class of 2018 witnessed the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was hosted by Secretary Li Tao.

Central South University in collaboration with the University of California, San Francisco, held a master's degree project in nursing education in July 2017, upon the approval of the Ministry of Education. Central South University and the University of California, San Francisco, the two schools, with both sides advantages professional nursing as a breakthrough point and the foothold, embodies the strong cooperation and the connotation of the complementary advantages and characteristics. This project provides a new channel for Central South University to obtain the "passport" of international nursing talents, which reflects the cooperation concept of excellent combination, complementarity and win-win cooperation.
