Host by Hunan Enterostomal Therapists School, the Professional Committee of Hunan Nursing Society on the Wound Ostomy Continence and Hunan Cancer Hospital,the 2019 Wound Ostomy Continence Care and Pressure Management Summit Forum was held in Changsha, the capital city of Hunan Province from April 12 to 15 in 2019. Under the theme of “Professionalism, Cooperation, Exploring, Innovation", the forum attracted enterostomal therapists and experts in Wound Ostomy Continence both at home and abroad. Of all the papers collected by the forum, the one authored by Pin Ming, a master student from class of 2016 with the title of “Progress in the Application of MTD Model in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Diabetic Foot” won the second prize of Outstanding Papers. Zhao Nan, a master student from the class of 2018 gave a speech at the forum about her paper titled "Research on Factors Influencing the Conditions of Diabetic Foot Patients before the Intervention of Standard Diagnosis and Treatment in Third-level A Grade Hospitals". Titled "Comprehensive analysis of the association of EGFR, CALM3 and SMARCD1 gene polymorphisms with BMD in Caucasian women", the paper authored by Zhou Qiuhong, supervisor of Zhao Nan won the first prize.

The students with great achievement expressed their gratitude to the leaders of Xiangya School of Nursing Central South University and Professor Zhou Qiuhong for their care, guidance and assistance. The exchange at this conference enhanced their knowledge about cutting-edge wound care, broadening their horizons and training their public speaking skills at the same time. In the future, they will continue to work hard on their major, striving for further breakthroughs.
