At 4 pm on October 18, at the invitation of Xiangya School of Nursing, Virginia Plummer, Associate Professor from Monash University gave a lecture in Class 714 of Xiaoqian Building.  

Associate Professor Virginia Plummer is currently the Director of Monash Nursing and Midwifery. Her fields of expertise cover a variety of fields, such as mixed-method research, systematic review, and knowledge transfer, critical care, disaster and emergency Nursing management, and health service management. With rich experience in medical service management, Associate Professor Virginia Plummer served as a director of public and private medical institutions.

Associate Professor Virginia Plummer brought to her audience a vivid and intriguing academic lecture, comparing the process of scientific research to that of pregnancy. Specifically, by making an analogy between different stages of pregnancy and the steps for scientific research, she laid a solid foundation for the research of her students in the future.

At the conclusion of the lecture, Associate Professor Virginia Plummer had a heated discussion with her students, who really enjoyed the way she lectured. The lecture was rounded off with warm applause.
