In order to strengthen the exchange and cooperation among nursing postgraduates in universities across the country, make full use of the high-quality resources of postgraduate education, and continuously improve the innovation ability and training quality of nursing postgraduates, approved by the Hunan Provincial Department of Education, the 2017 Postgraduate Summer School of Nursing Research Forum will be held by Xiang Ya Nursing School, Central South University (hereinafter referred to as the Summer School) from July 16, 2017 to July 29, 2017. Based on the existing postgraduate education resources of Central South University, the Summer School will invite famous experts in the field of nursing to give academic frontier reports on nursing research methods. CSU warmly welcomes postgraduate students majoring in nursing from inside and outside the province to participate in this Summer School, broaden their international horizons, and inspire innovative thinking. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:
1. Students and Scale
This Summer School is for postgraduate students, doctoral students and young teachers in Hunan Province, mainly for postgraduate students and doctoral students who were enrolled in 2016 and before; at the same time, a small number of outstanding postgraduate students from other provinces can be admitted. This Summer School will enroll about 60 regular students, about 20 auditors, and postgraduate students, doctoral students and young teachers.
2. Cost of Learning
This Summer School will enroll regular students and auditors. CSU will provide regular students with free accommodation, meals, teaching materials, and other learning materials, and these students will be exempted from tuition and miscellaneous fees. CSU will reimburse round-trip tickets for students from outside Changsha according to the ticket of ordinary train seat (train tickets are required). The auditors will not be provided with meals and accommodation, but they enjoy other benefits and rights same as those for the regular students.
3. Teaching Arrangement
The Summer School will invite well-known domestic nursing experts to deliver related lectures and discussions, and provide training on scientific research. The main contents include scientific research subjects, design and statistics of scientific research, qualitative research, evidence-based nursing, and the latest progress in clinical specialist nursing.
4. Course Completion
After the completion of learning, the regular students and auditors who pass the assessment can obtain the certificate of course completion and credit certificate of Hunan Province Postgraduate Summer School, which are printed by Hunan Provincial Department of Education. The student's training institution can offer 2 credits for the student.
5. Registration Process
The applicants shall download the application form on the website of Xiang Ya Nursing School, Central South University, and the scanned copy of the application form signed by the applicant, supervisor and the institution’s leader shall be sent to the e-mail address zndxhlxysqxx@126.com before June 30, 2017. The admission notice will be formally issued after the review by the Professor Committee and the Organization Committee. Within one week after the registration deadline, the list of candidates for admission will be published on the official website of Xiang Ya Nursing School, Central South University, and the candidates will be notified by phone. Please confirm within 2 days after receiving the notice.
