Notice on Selection of Participants in 2020 JBI Evidence Implementation Training Program

Dear Xiangya nursing colleagues:

In order to improve the ability of clinical staff to implement and use the best evidence, and continuously enhance the quality of Xiangya clinical nursing, Xiangya Evidence-Based Practice and Health Innovation Center: the JBI Collaboration Group (hereinafter referred to as the JBI Xiangya Center) will send 4 nursing staff to JBI in Adelaide, Australia to participate in the Evidence Implementation Training Program in March 2020, see Appendix 1). JBI Xiangya Center will provide funding in round-trip travel and tuition.


The program is an evidence-based implementation program that lasts for 6 months and includes two 5-day face-to-face training (location: Australia JBI Centre, March 2-6, 2020, August 31-September 4 ), and a five-month Evidence Program Practice between the two training sessions. In order to ensure the effectiveness of the program, the successful candidates are requested to submit the research plan of Evidence Implementation Practice to the JBI Xiangya Center within one month after the first face-to-face training of the program, and complete the first draft of the Implementation Report within one week after the second face-to-face training, and contribute to the JBI magazine (JBI database of systematic reviews and implementation reports) within one month.


The selection will be conducted through voluntary application-institution’s recommendation-comprehensive interview. The candidates will be selected from the clinical nursing staff who are interested in engaging in the implementation of evidence-based practice in the four affiliated hospitals (Xiangya Hospital, the Second Xiangya Hospital, the third Xiangya Hospital, Cancer Hospital of Xiangya School of Medicine). Each hospital can recommend no more than 3 candidates, and the specific requirements are as follows:


1. Resolutely support the leadership of the Communist Party of China, patriotic and dedicated, with the spirit of dedication;
2. With good English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills;
3. With Master’s degree or above in Nursing;
4. Experience in writing English academic papers;
5. With the title of supervisor nurse or above;
6. Have led a quality improvement project in the hospital;
7. With a theoretical foundation for evidence-based nursing.


Interested staff are requested to send the electronic version of personal application materials to xyhljbi@163.com (including related personal academic and job resumes, clinical issues to be improved and PICO issues (within one page)) before 5 pm on December 5th. The institutions’ registration form needs to be signed and stamped by the Nursing Department of the hospital where the applicant works, and the scanned copy should be sent to xyhljbi@163.com by the Nursing Department of each hospital before 5 pm on December 5th.

The interview will be held in the conference room 637 of Xiang Ya Nursing School at 9 am on December 6th. Interview related matters will be notified by telephone. Please make arrangement in advance to participate in the interview.
