Professor Wang Honghong Won the "2019 Global Excellence In Nursing" Award at the United Nations International Nurses Day Celebration

On May 10, 2019, hosted by the Global influence Nurses Association (findings With Global Impact, Inc.), the third International Nurses Day was held at United Nations headquarters. The conference aims to encourage nurses to give global health efforts, and gave 21 excellent nurse from 14 regions in the world the "2019 Global outstanding Nurses" Award (2019 Inspiring Global Nurse Award).

Professor Wang Honghong of our school was nominated by Rory Meyers School of Nursing of New York University and selected by the committee members of the conference organizing committee. Based on her outstanding contributions to the prevention, treatment and care of AIDS patients around the world, Wang Honghong became the only Chinese nurse to receive this award in 2019.

With the worldwide attention to global health promotion, the role of nurses is of great importance. Professor Wang Honghong's award encourages Chinese nurses to make greater efforts and contributions to global health. The United Nations International Nurses Day celebration is supported by international organizations, corporations and universities such as PHILIPS, BD, Hackensack Meridian Health, Northwell Health, RWJ Barnabas Health, Gold Foundation, ANCC, New York University, Villanova University, etc.
