In order to further improve the training quality of foreign graduate students and the scientific research ability of graduate students, enhance the international level of nursing education and teaching in our school, and provide more international platforms for scientific research cooperation for our teachers, Professor James Wiley of UCSF, financed by the Prestigious Foreign Experts Introduction Program, was invited to start teaching and research work in our school for one month since May 14, 2019. This is the third time that Professor James Wiley has been invited to our school for short-term work since October-December 2017 and September-December 2018.

The schedule of Professor James Wiley's visit was: to provide guidance for the graduation topics and thesis of foreign graduate students in our school, to provide consulting services for the SCI thesis writing of domestic graduate students, and to carry out further teaching and research cooperation with our teachers. During Professor James Wiley's visit, he and our tutor participated in the thesis presentations of 44 foreign graduate students and the thesis topic selection report meeting of 2018 foreign graduate students. As an expert in epidemiology and statistics, Professor James Wiley provided much professional guidance for foreign graduate students.

Professor James Wiley has been cooperating with our school for a long time. His affinity and professional spirit are constantly infecting our students and he is deeply loved and respected by them. On behalf of the school, Secretary Li Tao and Dean Tang Siyuan respectively thanked Professor James Wiley for his efforts and work in the training of graduate teaching and nursing discipline of our school, and expected him to keep the communication and cooperation with the school. Professor James Wiley said he would continue to contribute to the teaching of nursing education and the rapid development of nursing discipline in Central South University. So far, Professor James Wiley's first short-term work in our school in 2019 has come to a successful end. According to the work arrangement of the High-End Foreign Experts Introduction Plan, James Wiley will come to our hospital for the second short-term visit this year in the second half of this year.
