The China Medical Board (CMB) Young Nursing Faculty Research Fund is one of the national projects recognized by Central South University. The Fund will provide $5600 annually to the CMB Nursing Consortium of eight colleges and universities from 2014 to 2016. Each institution will have 1 or 2 research projects approved for the funds.
Xiang Ya Nursing School Management Committee has decided that an additional fund will be set up by the School to encourage more participation in the CMB program with the following guidance.
I. Eligibility
1. The Fund only applies to in-service teaching and research fellows at Xiangya School of Nursing, Central South University.
2. The two recipients of the additional funding must have received the funds from CMB in the same year.
II. Requirements for the Use of Funding and Deliverables
1. Funds awarded by Xiangya School of Nursing must be dedicated to the specific needs of the faculty member to carry out research of the proposed project. The funded projects must be budgeted in strict compliance with the "Regulation of Research Funds of Central South University".
2. Recipients of the funds shall submit a copy of the funded project application to the relevant office for archive and report on the progress of implementation at the end of November of the second year after application.
3. Recipients of the funds are required to publish at least one SCI/SSCI or CSSCI paper within 2-4 years (the applicant must be the lead author with Xiangya School of Nursing, Central South University).
4. The sponsored faculty members shall work to apply for international projects (including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Social Science Foundation of China and Ministry of Education projects) recognized by Central South University.
III. Grant Payments
The actual payment of the additional funding will be of the same amount as the payment awarded by the CMB program.
IV. The funding program applies to the young nursing faculty from Xiangya School of Nursing, Central South University that are awarded by the CMB program between June 1, 2014, and August 1, 2016.
Xiangya School of Nursing, Central South University reserves the right to the interpretation of the above terms and conditions.
