Xianhong Li, R.N., Ph. D.
Xianhong Li (RN, PhD) is Professor, Associate Dean at Xiangya School of Nursing, Central South University. Her Research focuses on health promotion among vulnerable populations, especially on social science and behavioral intervention for HIV/AIDS prevention.
Dr.Li started her research in HIV/AIDS areas since 2005. She got trained in research methodology in Yale University from 2007-2008, and also UCLA from 2014-2015 and 2016-2017. She is the PIs for more than 10 international, national, and local research projects. She has published more than 50 papers as the first author and corresponding author, and 13 papers are indexed in SCI. She is the reviewers for the journal of Nursing & Health Sciences, Plos One, Chinese Journal of HIV/AIDS, and Chinese General Medicine.
In 2009, she got the Ray Wu Prize of Excellence to graduate students of life sciences in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore (10 winners in total in that year); “The strategy and application of HIV/AIDS prevention and control” got the third prize of 2010 Science and Technology Progress Award in Hunan Province, and got the second prize of 2010 Medical Science and Technology Award in Hunan Province (Rank 3 among the authors). The academic paper of “Stigma Mediates the Relationship Between Self-Efficacy, Medication Adherence, and Quality of Life Among People Living with HIV/AIDS in China” got the 15th Natural Science Academic Awards in Hunan Province in 2014.
