Recently, the 2019 Shanghai Ranking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects was officially released, and the subject of Nursing of Central South University ranks 76-100 (ranks the first in China), ranking in the top 100 of the world's first-class subjects in soft science for three consecutive years.

The 2019 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects in soft sciences covers 54 subjects, involving five major fields, namely, science, engineering, life sciences, medicine and social sciences. In the ranking of Nursing subject, there are two universities in mainland China on the list: Central South University and Sun Yat-sen University, which rank the top two in China, and both rank among the top 100 in the world.
