On the afternoon of December 6, 2020, Yao Li, director of the Nursing Quality Control Center of the National Health Commission, vice president of the China Nursing Association and chairman of the National Alliance for Nursing Quality Promotion, and Chen Ran, director of the Medical Committee of the International Association for Emergency Management and president of the Beijing Huatong Guokang Charity Foundation were invited to our school for guidance and exchange.

The meeting was chaired by Li Yinglan. Li Tao, Party Secretary of the college, gave a speech and warmly welcomed the arrival of the two leading experts. After that, he introduced the history, discipline development, team building and scientific research of the school to the guests in detail.

Chen Ran introduced the current work of the Medical Committee and the Foundation of the International Association for Emergency Management, and then put forward constructive suggestions in the aspects of cooperative scientific research, personnel training, external exchanges, quality improvement and reputation expansion. Yao Li affirmed the outstanding achievements of Xiangya nursing discipline in teaching, discipline construction and international cooperation, and put forward her own opinions on nursing education and talent cultivation from the national level. Nursing education should start from clinical needs, refine the knowledge system of higher nursing education, and train professional nursing talents from the source. Xiangya nursing discipline should play a leading role in expanding the field of nursing practice in China, giving priority to geriatric nursing, rehabilitation and nursing informatization.

Li Zhihong and Li Tao, on behalf of Xiangya Clinical Medicine and Nursing respectively, expressed their recognition and appreciation for the foresight of the two experts, and agreed that they would continue to expand the brand influence of Xiangya based on quality medical education, through close communication with relevant national ministries and commissions, and to strengthen cooperation with professional social groups and external publicity.
