On 2 July, Professor Emma Burnett, Deputy Dean of Foreign Affairs, School of Nursing and Health Sciences, University of Dundee and Professor Elaine Lee, Associate Dean of Science and Research, visited our school. At 12:00, Professor Emma Burnett gave an excellent academic presentation to our graduate students on their research areas.

The symposium was hosted by Deputy Dean Li Xianhong. Secretary Li Tao delivered a welcome speech on behalf of our school. He fully affirmed the progress made by the two schools in the joint undergraduate education project and academic exchange. He also expressed the vision of the two sides to work together to further promote the process of undergraduate joint education project. Deputy Dean Li Xianhong made a detailed introduction to the visiting foreign guests in terms of the development history of Xiangya Nursing School, the development of teaching staff, the training mode of undergraduates and postgraduates, and scientific research. Dean Tang Siyuan introduced to the visiting foreign guests the development of the master's degree program in nursing jointly held by our university and the University of California, San Francisco. He said that the training mode of Chinese foreign joint education is an effective measure to promote the internationalization of nursing education and teaching. He hoped that the undergraduate joint education project of our school and Dundee University College of Nursing and Health Sciences could be put into effect as soon as possible.

Professor Emma Burnett and Professor Elaine Lee expressed their willingness to work towards the completion of the project. Subsequently, the two sides carried out in-depth discussions on joint undergraduate programs, joint graduate training and scientific research cooperation, and both sides expressed their intention to jointly solve related problems and challenges and carry out in-depth cooperation.
