Associate Professor LaRon Nelson and Associate Professor Kaveh Khoshnood from Yale University Visited Our School

On the afternoon of 7 January 2020, LaRon Nelson, Deputy Dean of the Yale School of Nursing, Kaveh Khoshnood, Associate Professor of the Yale School of Public Health, and Jessica Hahne, Senior Officer of the Yale-China Association's Health Program visited our school. Tang Siyuan, Dean of Xiangya Nursing School of Central South University, Wu Xiaochuang, Deputy Dean of Xiangya Medical School, Li Xianhong, Deputy Dean of Xiangya Nursing School, Wang Honghong, Director of the Faculty Committee, Liu Zina, Associate Director of the Discipline Office, and Chen Ling, Secretary of Foreign Affairs Department attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Li Xianhong.

Tang Siyuan, on behalf of the school, gave a speech of welcome to the guests coming from afar. He emphasized that the purpose of the exchange was to discuss the issues related to the Scientific Research Center established by Yale School of Nursing, Yale School of Public Health, Xiangya Nursing School, Central South University and Xiangya School of Public Health. Then they pointed out that the specific content of the discussion was the cooperation mode and direction of the research center.


This is the first time for Professor LaRon Nelson to visit Xiangya Nursing School of Central South University. He expressed his gratitude for the warm contact with Xiangya Nursing School. After that, he put forward his own suggestions on the joint student training and double degree awarding between Yale University and Central South University.


Xiangya Nursing School and Xiangya Public Health School of Central South University send students to study in Yale University every year, and Central South University also invites students from Yale University to study and exchange. According to the research direction of the Scientific Research Center, the preliminary results have been obtained and will be further improved.
